One shot, one kill !

Yesterday went to play paintball in "Paintball Authority" with the usual folks. Julian and Tafur, two folks from the university also went with me, we had an amazing time there, I have definetively improved my playing skills, I killed so much people yesterday....,, the game was packed with full of action, full of paint of course, full of friendship which was pretty cool, and the best of all full of exercise.
In the last round I got shot in my abdomen, in the only part where I wasn´t protected, so today I have a pretty nice purple thing where the paintball did hit me.

From today one week reamin to start the university again, I want to start but at the same time I don´t want to..., I want this semester to go as slow as possible...., reasons ?? there are sooooo much....

Vacations...

This small vacations that I had this week were awesome.. Spent some time in my farm, in a very very cold weather, stayed there for 7 days, and after that I went to a farm nearby "Puente Iglesias" with some friends, we had a pretty cool time there..., I also got my first tattoo..jjjajaa, anyway it´s not a true one, it was made with hena (I don´t know if that´s the way it´s supoused to be writen...) by a friend who paints very well, here are some pics of she doing :

Christmas with my family again !!

After 2 years without expending the christmas with my family I was able to do it again ! It was pretty cool ! I enjoyed it so much........
We spent the 24 at my farm, just imagine this: The whole of your family in the same place, a cold night, a chimney and the house full of christmas decoration everywhere... In the photo the christmas tree is not being displayed, however it was pretty nice.
The food was awesome, but as I said before, being together again was the best.
There´s one dog in the picture, did you find it already ? jajaja, because I was just writing this and saw him !

Energy Level: Pretty low..

After going to carambolas, I always end up feeling completely drained of energy.
Carambolas is a very very poor neighborhood where we are working with a program called "La Caja del Amor", basically what we do is that we collect boxes full of groceries, toys, clothes, and food and give them to the people who live there... Yesterday was the big day, after a couple of months gathering boxes we gave them away. It was so nice to see that people very very happy receiving their box, and giving as many "thank´s" as they could to everybody!

Playing with the kids there was also awesome..., spent some money buying ice creams for them..., they were very happy because of that !!

As I was saying at the begining, I just feel like if I gave all of my energy away to those people and those kids, that´s why I feel completely depleted of it.....

I just feel so lucky to be who I´m, to have a family, to have a house, a car, an education, food for every day that I open my eyes, but at the same time I feel bad for them. I think and I think and I can´t find not even one logic reason of why I have what I have and those kind´s and those people don´t have anything ! It´s something that´s not fair ! So my question is WHY ! just why ! and again, can´t find not even one reason....

To finish this post..., it´s great the feeling after helping them, even though if there´s no energy to enjoy it.

No Distorsion was a complete KAOS !!

Jajajaja, this was very coool !!!
Played paintball on wednesday with my folks against the No Distorsion and KAOS miniteca, it was just a mess, I mean, no distorsion ended like a complete KAOS !! we just painted them so much that at the end they looked like painters !!!
I was out of the paintball wars since 1 month and a half, so I tought that I was going to be eliminated pretty easy..., well, I was wrong on that, I didn´t receive not even one shot...., awesome!
I just got a cold on wednesday also after playing, I have no idea why..., at the office some people has it, and we´re with AC the hole day, so all the we´re breathing the same air !! that definetively sucks, because if somebody has something, it´s almost granted that another somebody is going to get it... TOO BAD!!

Today is the christmas party here at DDB, I´m not sure if I´m going or not to stay..., honestly just want to rest...

Yesterday saw "War of 2 worlds" directed by Steven Spilberg (not so sure about how to write his lastname), I liked that movie very much..., specially the end...., what killed the aliens...., the bacteria that causes the common cold to humans.... The message was pretty clear.
What I liked most, is that in the movie they don´t talk about the ideology of the aliens, only the consequences of it which in this case is translated into the extermination of the human kind.

It´s sad..., but that´s what I´m seeing......, you´ll fall eventually.

Perfection..

For me that´s something that doesn´t exist and won´t never exist, anyway sometimes I think it does..., extrange though...., howeverI wish it could exist !!!!!
Finally that gray cloud that was over my head is going far far away, hope to not have to see it again soon.., however I learned some tecniques to make it go away faster....
This weekend I´m going to the end of the world, or at least that´s how I call that place..., I´ll post some pic´s next week !

Broken...

It´s funny, but it happens that I bought a swiss swatch watch (it has rythm) last year, 6 months later the belt that holds it got broken, by that time I was already in Colombia..., so I went to an authorized swatch dealer, they told me that what happened to my belt was a factory issue, however they won´t replace the belt, instead they could give me a 105 disscount, yeah sure..., I´ll buy it and then come back again in 6 months and do the same over and over !! no thanks I said !
I asked then for a stainless steel belt, they didn´t have it by that moment, so they told me that they would arrive in a week, one week later nothing, one month later nothing, two months later and nothing..., six months later and nothing !! one year and finally it´s here..., funny though that I bought a watch, used it for 6 months, then wasn´t able to use it for a year and now I have to pay 30% of the watch price for the belt ! That´s not aceptable I said, plus that I´ll send a letter to the company...., it´s not the big deal..., but companies should have a little bit of respect for their customers !!! My watch was being drepeciated and I wasn´t even using it !! jajajaja, I just wanted to use the word "depreciated"..., anyway that´s funny, happens all the time everywhere......

Stuff...

Today I received an email from the NYU (New York University), sweet..., the deadline to apply is the 8th of Jan, I´m not so sure already about what am I going to do, I´ll have to think about it..., I´ll have to think about a lot of stuff before making that decision, but I have one fact, and is that I need to do it.
Today I started the Gym, it was not bad for the first day, I ran 1,4KM in 30 mins.., did a lot of other things and somehow my mind got some fresh air. Met with a friend from archery there, long time without seeing her..
Also received my new Matriz and Home Theather today, I´m just so happy to be able to sleep in a hugeeeeeeeeee bed..., and also watch movies with full sound effect !! Groovy !!!
At work, I can´t complain, now I´m a software arquitect, which means muchhhhhhh more responsability, but I like it !!!

Confidence..

I just checked my university extranet, and as expected I won all the asignatures.., maybe sometimes I´m a little bit confident, but for me confidence is everything....... Today I feel kind of extrange, no stress at work, no stress at university..., so somehow is like a boring day for me, anyway I´ve been reading some documents for my last asignature called Geopolitics, which is a speech, so I don´t think I´ll have any kind of problems with it....
Can´t wait to get my new HT.

An Inconsistency of my coherent inconsistences.

What´s the definition for happiness ??? Some people say that happiness is when you have everything, then when you have everything you realize that it doesn´t make you happy, others say that you find happiness in love, and then when you are in love you also realize that you´re not happy, others say that when you have your family you´re happy, and it´s like a endless chain of things that should make you happy but that in the end that´s not and that won´t never make you happy because happiness is something that doesn´t exist, is an utophy, something like perfection which in case you didn´t know also doens´t exist...... Life is so complicated..., sometimes I just imagine what life used to be centuries ago....., living just like another animal.., and advanced one though but keeping things simple....... Technology is a bless in a lot of fields yes..., I´m very deep in it also..., but somehow it makes life soooo much more complicated.., so much more globalized.., sooooo much faster......, it´s like a wave that somehow it´s going to end in something that nobody expects... I saw this movie animatrix.., and I think that that´s exactly the way how the world is going to end..., or maybe not end..., but how it´s going to be in the future..

There are days like today for me where I question myself about everything..., and honestly I like that in a way but not in another one...., it´s weird...., that´s what I call an "inconsitency of my coherent inconsistences"..

Drinking some Grog !

Grog was a beverage that dates from a lot of centuries ago..., and was often drank by the pirates...., it was of a green color, I´m not that sure if it was glowing or not, however those who know tell that it used to taste as hell.....



Well, yesterday I was drinking grog.., jajjaja, well, actually it wasn´t grog, it was only beer but I wanted to call it today "grog"...... I was there with juanma and sebastian ochoa, a friend that´s doing a traineesheep in the US (miami to be more precise), it was such a good time with them...., we drank 2 "yardas" ??? I don´t know the correct name for that, but just imagine a huge glass, very thin, but very tall, like 1,5 mts........, anyway, we drank 2 of those together and at the end we were somehow a little bit drank thanks to that.. We spoke about everything..., and when I say everything is everything........

I was going 2005...but...

Well, yesterday I was installing Vs.net 2005, I was just so excited, BUT happens that the beta version that I did install was expired already, so my boss told me today that he´s going to bring me the Beta 2, which should be ok until jan 16 when I will get a full copy of vs.net 2005 with our MSDN subscription..., groovy !!

Today came to my mind the idea of get into the gym again.., I´m just feeling soooo rusty..., and I can´t let that happen..., so probably I´ll start next week, not so sure of it already but it´s something that my body is asking me for..

New OS is like a new life...., well, those who are involved deeply with computers know what I mean........., it´s like starting again from zero ! no errors, no problems at all, but they should be arriving soon...., you know.., the usual trash...

My thesis is doing OK, I need to focus on it during this long weekend....., so this won´t be a FWS weekend (Those letters stand´s for Free-Work-Styudy).

Well it´s 01:29AM and I´m here at the office, just finished ALCOA, gave it to Bruce and now packing to go home..., it´s soooo late!!!!! yoohoooo !!!! Sooo much work, so much effort, but at the end it feels great...

Almost in the other side..

Today I received my last grade for Economics Enginnering which I thought was going to be very very bad...., well, I guess I was wrong, I got a 4,6 which puts me somehow on the other side.
I feel much more relaxed now to face the final exams.....

On saturday went to a party near by Girardota in a farm.., the place was very cool, the funny thing is that 2 years ago I was spending a weekend in that farm with my parents ( we did rent it) and I said: It will be so cool to have a party here. The DJ was in the middle of the pool, the sound and lights were awesome, my friend Richie played there and was amazing..., the bad things were the Dj´s that followed him, because the music lost a lot of rythm and from my point of view did throw the party to the floor.. taking live again with another DJ at 5AM (I was sleeping in my car by that time) so overall I can say that the place was very cool but the party wasn´t.

Well, today I was supoused to upload Alcoa to the NYC servers by 5:00PM, the thing is that the international channel I guess was very crawded so the upload was taking years to get done..., and I had 5:00 PM class at the university (Metodos 2)..., so I decided to let my local server doing the job for me.., slow but doing it....., I went to class......

It´s now 10:00PM and I just checked the Alcoa server and only a part of it was there...., who knows what happened..., anyway it´s not the big deal.., it´s a 156MB file..., and using a T1 connection that´s not a problem.., so well, now I´m sitting on my desk at home doing the upload which is going quite fast.., then I need to uncompress the file and install it.., sounds easy, huh ?

Vpn´s are just and simple a great invention....., right now I can say that I have a hugeeeee bridge of lan´s connected between them while I work throughout VPN´s........., that´s amazing.., work locally from the distance.

Well, what else can I say...... Oh, now I remembered that I was going to post some NYC pictures.., so I´m just going to download them from my digi and post´em here.

After All....

Well, after a lot of hard work, long nights, some partying and some turism I came back from NYC to Colombia..... I´m just amazed of this city..., the world converges and diverges to and from there, that´s where the real business are, where stuff happens........, where decisions are made, where things definetively happens..

Working there was amazing, very intelligent and hard working people where each of them has it´s very own style, all of them were very friendly and helpfull, and the best things it that the work atmosphere was gorgeous, this because each part of the team had a lot of knowledge on the area where he or she was.
I won´t never forget this equation that I read on wired magazine:

And that´s what I found there......., that´s why I want to be there, and I will be there.

It was just so cool to play some xbox if you just got tired of coding or something else, get relaxed and then start again.....

I want to put some pictures here, I didn´t take so much thuogh, sadly I haven´t downloaded them from my Digi, and the thing is that I always put here that I will post them later and I never do, will I do it this time ??? Wont I ??? Hell no !!! I have to !!!!

For party, went with Pica, Brendan and Andrea to Crobar, Ferry Corsten was there, and it was amazing...., one of the things that I always enjoy and try to do is when I go to another country do some partying in local disco´s, and NY was not the exception..... Stayed there until morning, so wasted next day but it was worth it..., people there was very friendly...., overall the partying experience was exceptional.

For Tourism,
Went to Ground Zero and I was so fucking impressed with that "HOLE", each time that I was seeing arround I couldn´t avoid to imagine what people could felt being there, how many people died there, how many people lost their loved ones...., It´s a huge hole in the middle of buildings..., I felt a freezing silence there.., it´s a scary view.

Well, that´s all for now..., have to get back to work and I hope to post pic´s this time...

Sitting in the airport..

Well, right now I´m just sitting here in the JoseMa Airport at Rionegro waiting to catch my flight to NYC at 6:00PM.
The hotel is already booked, it´ll be "Jazz on the Park", which is very close to central park. Llet´s see ow it looks like..
Estimated arrival time is 12:00AM. Lot´s of people here waiting in this room..., and while I see them I ask myself what´s the purpose of their travel, what are they going to do, who are they going to see, will they be happy to leave the country ? Will they be sad ? Will they be running away ? Are they going to see they beloved ones ? Business ??
The plane is being filled up with lot´s of baggage, it´s just so incredible that these machines can fly with all of this weight..., I think that this is one thing that always will be amazing me forever....
We just bought a present for the guy that we´re going to meet (Bruce), it´s not the big deal, but we bought him a nice mug plus some "Chocolatinas JET".

NYC..

Well, everything worked out the way I wanted and tomorrow I´ll be traveling to NYC for business, staying there for 8 days..., awesome !! Pica is going with me, I´m sure we´ll have a very good time there, get to know important people and so on..., I´m very excited with this trip and have a lot of expectatives !
I´m just to sleepy to post anything else right now, so I´ll better go to sleep.
